Recently addicted to Design*Sponge office design with my wife.

Those are serious furniture compare to what I have currently like a preschool furniture.

Workstation

We always believe that clean environment can boost our productivity. Once I know a designer, who told “I’m designer, my workstation suppose to be mess, and this mess helps my creativity, don’t you?“. I’m not so sure it’s an attitude or profession need for the messy room.

  • Clean environment
    A clean environment is easier to find anything on the table. Everything are visible on eyes.
  • Keep files clean
    Desktop icons is where people often forgotten to clean up. Do you ever go click here and there just to find the file you just saved?
  • A white board / calendar
    I can’t find a desktop calendar in this town. So I got a small white board from Popular and hang just beside my desk, so I can refer to it from time to time

Some other small thing like notification, time table is also an essential thing to do. However, the last thing I want is a better workstation that’s all… There is no IKEA here!!!

Productivity boost

As a neat person, I like space and cleanliness. After a few round of adjusting the laptop and LCD here and there, I finally made the decision to go to some department stores and get the equipments needed.

Sweat

That is just the sweat I needed. I haven’t been working really hard and sweat, today is one of the best day :)

Workstation

Ta da~! That my friend, is the space I needed so much. Since I don’t use the laptop’s screen, so just don’t bother it and treat the whole laptop like a CPU tower.

Seriously, who doesn’t want a clean environment to work on? Beside, that is how I boost my productivity.

Having a clean workstation, it is easier for me to arrange all the files/sketches on the desk. Previously, both laptops are just beside the LCD and it blocked some space in between 2 LCDs, which limited the placement of my sketch book.

Time to boost some time onto the time I took to setup the whole thing, OT tonight!

Begin the day with new station

I like it when everything is ready and running. Since Sibu PC Fair was here few days ago, we spent some times in the fair to hunt for her new laptop and a LCD monitor :) Well, like usual, I can’t compare the price here with KL PC fair, everything seems to be more expensive, but a lot of freebie nonetheless.
Acer Aspire 4736G
We get this sexy upgraded machine :) Running C2D 2.2GHz with 4GB DDR3 RAM and a huge 500GB hard drive. It comes with Windows 7, without an OEM disk and Drivers disk.

I’ve been spending time to look for the wireless drivers which is not accurate on the information I found online :? She is using the ethernet connection at the moment.
Workstation
Including those table and chair, I’ve spent more than RM3K. Now it’s really the time to work :)
