Coming back home, I am deeply appreciate my Streamyx connection Malaysia got to have the best Internet broadband, seeing how it developed, don’t compare to Singapore or Korea then. First thing we both did once I stepped back home was plugged in my laptop (Which I brought it to Indonesia) and start checking online credit report, bills and letters at home and none but not least – social network sites.

Strangely, it became something I need to check into daily. Not because I wanted to look for somebody to chat with, but to find new stuff, discover new things.

What’s happening?

If you ask me, I would say Twitter is the news portal I read everyday. Notice that it changed the question from “What are you doing?” to “What’s happening?“. So obviously, Tweeples (As in Twitter People or Twitter User) don’t want to know your location already, they wanted to know what is happening in your location instead.

Gossip or a new Topic?

I’ve just encountered a family, where they would talk about what this relative or that friends are doing. I’m not sure if I would say it is a gossip or a topic in a family conversation. The Facebook status stated “What’s on your mind?), whoever really falling too deep into the trap will soon discover that they should be too honest on Facebook.

If I would need to sum up these 2 social network sites. They ARE definitely about gossip and gossip and more gossip!

Streamyx, claimed itself to be the fastest and most reliable broadband in Malaysia but did not kept its promises. PayPal transaction has been pissing people on and off for the refunding and their policies. Prudential unstable life insurance rates also a point. Maybank too, and I don’t want to mention too much hurt about Proton.

Why this happen? User database. The only answer I can find is the user base they have. The more users one brand has, the more complaint it seems to have too, because people talks.

Windows for a quick example, how many user has switched to become an Apple users? As for Apple users, how many percent market they have now? If you are anal enough, I’m sure you can find some complaints about it on the internet too.

Well, we as a users, the least we can do is, eat the shit. Because on their business, they already know their complaints, even if they are keen on solving the problem it takes time too.

P/S: I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days. I am NOT pissed by Streamyx this few days.

Went for a short jogging, to calm down my blood pressure. I can’t help but crying while jogging because the broadband here. I know it sound stupid, but for me, Internet is my rice bowl you understand, I can’t help myself to not to get mad for this kind of service I get. I tried Streamyx, P1 and Celcom, none of them provide a decent stable and reliable connectivity for me. They sure frequent disconnect if not can’t connect at all. I wonder what is the motive behind this connection problem Malaysia facing.

Malaysia isn’t a very developing country, with GDP close to USD3800 and above, a lot of things should also following up. Or I can only assume “service” in Malaysia is not on the par with any other country outside? Services from government firm, police and all are all lousy. That’s why no body bother to go to police station for report, not because Malaysian are kind person, it is because no service in Malaysia is reliable.

Too be more positive, it is good to have a jog too, at least I don’t need to waste money on weight loss pills for the wedding photo shooting. Sigh… Just when I am free to pursuit all the left-over work on hand, services like this hit harder than any other time.

So I got P1 modem that not working at first. Anyway, this weekend I’ve been trying to make it work. Because some promoters kept telling me that my area has coverage but under maintenance and asked me to wait for another few more days or weeks to try it.

Going back home, I keep on adjust the location in my room and finally got some signal from the modem. Each time the LED light turned orange I’ll get my nerve up The connection is not as stable as I expected. What I expect was a stable connection that will not disconnect itself when it’s too free or on heavy usage. Pinging and test my speed on their website, it comes out…

This is when their connection showing some slow signal (Even the LED is in green color though).

This is when their connection is too good. And honestly this is the first experience on broadband. I signed up with the 400kbps package Shit you not, this tiny package speed beat Streamyx 1.2mbps hands down! Now I know what’s that call a “broadband”. But disconnect quite often though I’ve give it a test on downloading some files online…

Running at 40kbps is not easy in Malaysia. With Streamyx 1.2mbps at home, if it runs 25+kbps I could sleep smiling already.

Everything is good, just the frequent of disconnection. I’m waiting for them to upgrade a little bit. And pray the Lord this connection gonna keep as long as I’m using them. Because I hate it when they started to tell me connection is like water pipe, the more people using it the slower it will go or whatever reason.

So, I thought the sommon would give them some lesson on not to fool the customer again. Which I think it’s just useless, because they just so used to be like this since the first day of their existance.

It’s not about how they restoration going on, but rather, how they answer the customer that make me go nut. The other day, my itchy hand told me to search around the complaint people made in The Star online. Unfortunately, I only found a few, which I think The Star editor has been very hardworking on censoring a lot of them. What made this complaint so good? Well, Streamyx technicial actually replied back in The Star to make sure he is working fine now. My question? They how about people around the area that possibly having the same problem like him and just so fed up to even pick up the phone or online to do this complaint?

Giving one person satisfaction is just not the right thing to do. Just because they push, doesn’t mean they are exclusive in the matter. Search around the google about the complaint on Streamyx or Scream me or TMNut, I bet they can’t run away from the 10,000 pages. But really, does this matter to them (Streamyx)?

If you’re talking about a developing country (Like they mention for Malaysia) I would expect a better one, because “developing” means getting better and better to compete with the developed country. But if you’re talking about third world country wannabe, I think that is the “best effort” the country can give.

“Dear value customer, please be inform that connection in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri will experience a slow connection. Our technical team is working…”

This is the phone tone I’ve been listening for few days now. I don’t mind for the “slow connection” that they’ve been mentioning (That explain why I didn’t bother to listen the whole machine talk). However, instead of slow connection I am experiencing no connection at all. Most pages I go are either showing a blank page or some page error. Called a few times, they’re telling the same thing. Well, each time I finished a call to their customer support and had restarted my modem, I can connect for a while. So now, I need to dial before connect just like the old dialup connection. It’s been week like this, I’m honestly feeling about paying the whole month to get half month connection. I mean, come on… Why this happen always? Better just get some golf clubs to swing somewhere else than online this days…

1, Blackout happen again
I was still sleeping, it was 8.15am my phone rang that the van is coming to pick me up to the church, but I rejected and continued my dream. Suddenly I felt there was this death silent in my room, I looked up, the fan stopped, my computer doesn’t have the sleep LED indication. I ignore everything and continued my dream.

I keep sleeping until 12.00pm, it was so refreshing, the weather is good, that’s why I don’t felt any hot at first. However, after another few minutes, my bed become the best fat burners. And then I notice, it’s been so long the blackout happen, when does it stop?! The landlord came down, told me that the electric can only come back on at 7.00pm, I fainted down! Luckily, at 5.25pm the electricity came back

2, Streamyx again
Since I didn’t do anything the whole day, I was thinking to do some quick research in order to pick up next week studies. Bang! No direct internet connection, the best I can get is the LAN address. Damn! Until now, which is pass a whole Sunday, Streamyx came back

Sorry for the lack of update lately. I’m under the dark lighting fixtures of my room, keep trying to login to my blog, just to find out I can’t, I checked my host provider, thinking they must have been fucked up, I can’t access as well. I was thinking to give them sometimes before bash them with my email. I asked my girl friend if she can access to her site (Which is hosted under my package), she said it’s fine. Weird, I went to asked my friend as well, and there I go, Streamyx again! Streamyx o streamyx, what’s wrong with you again? I’m not talking about the downtime or keep disconnecting, rather, cannot reach MANY websites.

I keep getting this image when I can’t access to any website or just some “Page Load Error”. I cannot login to my weblog for days now, nothing was repair though, and I don’t know how to talk to the support about this.

Sometiems it’s ok, but after refresh, everything gone again. I have to keep refresh a page in order to view one page, which is very very annoying. Hopefully they notice this problem as well, I’m too lazy to call the support that giving me the same answer everytime.

This few days my house experience the time out from Streamyx again. Everytime if I didn’t notice my Airport bar, I will get the cannot find pages, which is very very frustrated and annoying at the same time. I wonder what is the best effort that Streamyx claimed all the time.

Many people don’t look at the terms before sign up and end up keep fucking Streamyx for the slow speed, well, slow speed sometimes can be frustrated as well, but it’s still fine for me as long as I’m able to do my work, which normally just research and images searching. At the slow speed, download really sucks then.

No no no, I’m not complaining about the slow speed, cause I really get used to it already. That’s why at Sibu we just subscribe 512kbps package which is enough and same even said it’s the same with 1mbps. What I tried to say here is the “stability“! Don’t disconnect me from online research, don’t time out me when I’m on my way viewing the <s>porn</s> research and don’t disconnect me from blogging! Slow speed can be explained, since we all actually use the same port, and if too many people downloading it will result other who didn’t download become slow on speed, so it doesn’t matter how big the company, this shit happen. But stability is not disconnecting, it’s about the backup work they’ve prepared, the attitude toward the consumers. Or they’re just too old and lose memory about consumers? Imagine some old folks wearing some sort of incontinence supplies sitting in office claimed to be the support team and do things they remember only.

Fine, nothing I can do also, just bash out on the disconnect mood. Let’s just wait and wait and wait until the connection is 100% fine, so I can continue my research and download…
