That is how Malaysia business abuse their power to be

Can’t really tell how I feel already. As thing happen too quick and unannounced.

Right on the morning, I got a phone call from my mother advising me to go home instead of going Medan. So I thought probably a good thing to do, since it sound like an urgently important.

At the airport, I called again, to make sure how thing went on. And then, the news break out.

Flight

It took me a few hundred for the “budget” ticket to go home, while my wife, going her way instead, the plane is fulled!

One thing we all not quite sure about is, how can a “budget” airline doesn’t have a budget for their flight? I mean, a maximum and minimum fee should be imposed, because after all, they are a “budget” airline, unlike how MAS works. So they get you to get all sort of thing, paying for a seat, get a disability insurance and all the like.

Well, what can we say? As a nation, we tend to have to “eat-the-dead-cat” all the time. AirAsia, works just like how Proton did. Comparing with others, they are of course, lower price. So, whatever services, lousy, bad, shit, they tend to be better competitive with others. Like the saying, you paid what you get.

MAS really wanna fight

I thought of giving a shot to MAS after a few attempt on getting a cheaper fare from AirAsia. Although previously I found that MAS isn’t any cheaper. Today, I got a little shock from MAS, as the price different are quite wide.
MAS fare
I clicked on both RM22 fare on returning ticket, giving me a whopping RM384! So then I checked into AirAsia again, to compare back…
AirAsia fare
On AirAsia, I clicked on both RM90 fare on returning ticket. The cost only RM350 cheaper than MAS on overall price. Like I’m gonna use star cruises back to Sibu. See! I can have baggage checked. Even though the price of the ticket is far different (RM22 and RM90) but in the end, the price is still more “budget” than MAS.

MAS VS AirAsia

Think twice. Today I read it on newspaper and it’s so funny to see how desperate MAS wanted to take over AirAsia consumers. By using AirAsia color and element on their ads? Direct competition isn’t it? I didn’t get the shot though, so bear with me on your mind  Anyway, reading from the newspaper, MAS so confident that the fare they promoting now is the cheapest and most importantly much cheaper than AirAsia, however, AirAsia CEO Tony was also acting so confident that their fare are the lowest, if anyone has a lower fare of MAS can get the money paid by Tony. Whoa, cool guy talks eh?
AirAsia fare
I’m afraid Tony is right, AirAsia will and still be the cheapest. Flying from Sarawak to Kuala Lumpur cost me only RM90 and remember, there is flight fee too, which is RM11. Somehow I read in the newspaper that flying from and to Sabah and Sarawak will cost RM122+ and flying in Peninsula Malaysia costing RM88+ by MAS RM0 fare promotion. Hmm… Which part of MAS asking that AirAsia didn’t?

Typical win-lose situation here. MAS has their pride, yes, it’s good to have pride so you get confident, but over pride isn’t that good too. AirAsia has a very limited flight routine if count from international flight. MAS who “actually” monopoly Malaysia airline that helps by the government have a tough competition with a newly formed 6 years old AirAsia? How pathetic…
