It is nice to have some leisure chit chat with friend who have same mind. There are lots of break through point. Be it in life, in dream, in religion and etc, you name it. Tonight, it was good, because the break through point is quite big, from… Twitter.

Rumours running around that Apple is buying Twitter, I don’t know how true it was. Thinking about it, how can simple website has such a value? For instance, Facebook worth more than a billion, Friendster getting more and more investors, Bebo was sold out previously, Google acted quickly to buy blogger.com and all those stories. Why?

It is good to talk about things that related to our life, because once you see it, you’re trapped!

After being a happy customer for a month, I’m dropping back to shit the ISP provider now I don’t know what happen, but it just did. And again, I wanna say, Malaysia is hopeless… Here are my list of the week:

1, Dog abandon to an isolate island. SPCA seems working very slow too. Great, now we have cruel people and innocent dog. Medicare supplement are spent more than the cruel people on the island can think about. And since it is dog, people are still holding on the right side. Dog should be blame still. Right…

2, Ipoh no black day. Great now, even wearing also can be forbidden. Your government started to control your wearing already la… Lots of innocent people who did not get the news or the SMS got caught for… Wearing black. Right…

Shit you not, we all should be proud to be here doesn’t matter how, because we should love the land, not the government ya…

So this is the third month I’m working as a web designer. Before this, there’s been numerous time my boss asked me about how I felt and what did I learn in the office. I don’t know how to answer. Really, if those who know me well, they know my answer very well, it is either “Like that lo” or “Don’t know, not bad” because I don’t really like to explain too much, which is why I cannot be a teacher and definitely won’t be a good father as well

1, It is still as black as the first time I came in here, nobody cares about Sylvania light bulbs to give some white effect. Everybody still keep quiet, that include me too Plugging a head phone, everything will be invisible. Er… Beside the boss. Been caught sleeping, been caught coming late, been caught reading The Star and been caught hanging in forum. If this tells you I’m a lazy ass in office then you’re too surface! This means I take the office as home, I treasure whatever I have there hokay?

2, Waiting for 5.00pm. As usual, being a normal or should say a freshie in the office, 5.00pm is really important, well, though normally I go home around 6.30pm but still, waiting for 5.00pm is the key to the relaxation. Once the long line touched 12 on my watch, the day seems to go faster

3, Let’s just say, design and more design. That’s my first step purpose as well, though I like coding a little bit more. I’ve been keep telling myself to polish up a little bit of design, and some graphic people told me that before as well. Now that I work a lot on designing, I think I am stepping into my first step. Second step still pending, don’t ask!

4, Luckily these senior there quite willing to teach. That is also one point. Though I’m still thinking about back to advertising line, but staying where I am now is to upgrade knowledge on internet (Please, don’t keep using the word web anymore). Seriously, if you even notice, advertising start to get more and more prominent on other media beside newspaper, TV and radio. Instead, these old media become a bonus more than the main stream.

5, Time at home. I started to feel that home isn’t really that important. I wonder if this would happen if I’m back at Sibu? The small town that doesn’t take a 3 minutes song to finish before I got home. Spending time at home has been my habit for years since the day I step out to KL study, now it is a total change of situation.

6, Spending too much time on internet. Research and gain more web knowledge, all done on the internet. First thing I do when I woke up was checking my email then have a cup of hot Milo, then go office. Once step into office, turn on computer, open Photoshop and Firefox. The rest is in front the screen. Good, since I was a TV addict when I was a kid, now I’m fulfilling my childhood dream… Great.

7, Getting more and more exposure to the web and internet. It’s been sometimes that I did not update myself on the web thingy, mainly because I was started to get slow with the internet after graduated. Because my whole brain was telling me about graphic designer instead of web designer. I think it worth it when I picked up call the other day

Done my 7 points blogging time. Gotta go get some drinks and bath and bla bla bla…

So I got P1 modem that not working at first. Anyway, this weekend I’ve been trying to make it work. Because some promoters kept telling me that my area has coverage but under maintenance and asked me to wait for another few more days or weeks to try it.

Going back home, I keep on adjust the location in my room and finally got some signal from the modem. Each time the LED light turned orange I’ll get my nerve up The connection is not as stable as I expected. What I expect was a stable connection that will not disconnect itself when it’s too free or on heavy usage. Pinging and test my speed on their website, it comes out…

This is when their connection is too good. And honestly this is the first experience on broadband. I signed up with the 400kbps package Shit you not, this tiny package speed beat Streamyx 1.2mbps hands down! Now I know what’s that call a “broadband”. But disconnect quite often though I’ve give it a test on downloading some files online…

Running at 40kbps is not easy in Malaysia. With Streamyx 1.2mbps at home, if it runs 25+kbps I could sleep smiling already.

Everything is good, just the frequent of disconnection. I’m waiting for them to upgrade a little bit. And pray the Lord this connection gonna keep as long as I’m using them. Because I hate it when they started to tell me connection is like water pipe, the more people using it the slower it will go or whatever reason.

I don’t know who to choose to blame over the connectivity of my P1, the promoter who excited to earn the commission I’m gonna pay him or P1 who did not give a full information for the promoter/reseller? I re-registered P1 again, because they mentioned that there’s coverage at my area, so happily I took the modem back home again thinking to be able to online using P1 instead of Streamyx. But there is thing I don’t know, and nobody told me until I called back into the customer support.

Under Maintenance

Well, if the maintenance only takes a few days is fine, because I got 15 days trial which I can still be able to test the connection. But this maintenance taking a few weeks!!! That’s the information I got from the customer support though.

Checking into P1 website for coverage, it clearly stated that my area have coverage already, but! There’s no indication about it’s under maintenance or even a simple quick note on the site (Like announcement in Streamyx site maybe?).

Here is so far I found from P1 customer support:
1, Don’t waste time email them from the contact form on P1 website. No reply from my side.
2, Give information that I already know. They don’t solve me problem, but give me some choices.

Hell, I’m giving it a few more days to see if the coverage is up or not. If not, send back the modem and I’m banning P1. If there’s connection, I’ll test it, if not satisfy, send back modem. In the end of the day, it’s Malaysia, nothing even close to the word “average”.
