WordCamp in Bandung

This is the first time I joined the WordCamp event. I was notified back in 2010 about the event, however, due to some circumstances, I did not attend. I heard that this year maybe in April or May

Anyway, it was nonetheless a good exposure and networking in WordCamp. Everyone is involving with WordPress in a way or another. Some of them are like “Finally met the real person” situation. Had some fun, but not exactly too useful though.

Everyone is like selling their own product to the attentees That made no fun. Of course some are not, some helps us developers and designers a better insight of their services, like the one from Envato, who give a very detailed info about how to make sure our themes made it to the market.

Looking forward to Malaysia WordCamp, if any

First day in Bandung

Didn’t really travel a lot. Since it’s a relaxing trip just to attend an event. So I think I should take things slow, very slow. So we spend a lot of time eating the local dishes. We agreed that time for us to look for diet pills that work for us.

Anyway, like all the usual couple will do on trip – Missed this and that. I am no travel person, so it is usual for me to miss this and that, tooth brush, towel, underwear and etc. That explain why I spend more than other, because I need to get a new one each time I travel.

Anyway, now tasting all those authentic Indonesia food

P/S: The smallest airport (International somemore) I have ever see in my life. From immigration to luggage is just as big as the living room at home

It’s been a few months since the last time I went to my second home, Indonesia. The good and best thing to be there is, everything seems to be cheaper than in Malaysia.

I love the massage SPA. Full body massage cost only less than RM25 per hour! Last night packing and found a few tanning lotions, probably time to use it again

Later will be flying all the way to Jakarta, for 5 days 4 nights. On one quick side, I have a relative wedding dinner, on the other, going to meet some long lost friends and maybe looking for some business opportunity.

Biggest city in Indonesia, I wonder how jam it is?

It’s so hot and dark here

Coming to Indonesia, 2 things I always expected, hot weather and blackout.

Probably the over populated city has come to a limited source of electricity. Almost everyday, I encounter a good 4 hours or less of blackout.

Now, tropical country, there are only hot and raining season. Due to the global warming that help speed up the warming process, we are in deep shit, seriously deep shit. Every year since 3 years ago, I can feel the weather getting hotter and hotter. Coming here for the 4th years, I can see some eczema growing on my skin, Yewwwk~

The good thing about coming here in Indonesia? Get good and enough food everyday; get enough and good sleep every night; get enough sauna at home everyday too.

The bad here? Well, teenager, you know… The typical kind

P/S: Just came back from a good 8 hours blackout… Worked for just 2 hours today. I luuve SOHO and I hate the blackout!

What I can do next

Not really. I haven’t figure out how to activate the Internet on my Simpati SIM card, so not so active on Twitter yet. But seriously, Twitter made me lazy nowadays, I would rather write a short one sentence instead of blog…

Anyway, finally my wife upgraded to unlimited broadband. Now we can online 24/7.

Now, here come the down side, blackout happen almost everyday since we’re here. The unlimited broadband has a bandwidth limit, once reached the limit, it slow down.

One last thing I’m looking for is either someone to have a drink together or something else to do – Exercise…?

If only I brought the BSN cell mass, I would definitely give it a try I still not understand how a machine like this can: 1, help you to grow high; 2, flatten your belly; 3, build abs. It’s like a total BS to me, but hell that’s what I can do next!

Back to square one again

Just as we thought we have everything ready and can get the surat keterangan from Indonesia Consulant, we happily went to Kuching on the same day after we got the letter from DHL. It’s a freaking 6 hours driving journey.

We started the journey at 12.30am so once we arrived in Kuching we can start working on it. Ended up the girl on the desk did not provide full information to us last time. Beside keep telling us that different religion cannot get marriage in Malaysia, nothing more than that information she gave. Then she settle it with “I’m sorry” and we fly back to Sumatra Utara again?!

She fucking think it’s like getting wii bundles, can get everywhere is it?! KNNCCB one… Next time learn to give information. We even asked her what should we ready and what should we do months ago when she kept telling us go back to Indonesia. Fucking irresponsible and don’t want to work, much like Malaysia Police (My experience, don’t ask)

It’s not easy to marry a foreigner

My girlfriend and I planned to spend a good 2 weeks in Sibu, the main objective to be here is to get our marriage certificate, at least on “ready” stage. It turned out it wasn’t as easy as we thought.

My girlfriend has almost every document ready. Letter from the governmet stating she is still in single status, a permission letter from both parent and a family heritage document from the government as well. Thinking it were all ready to go.

We went to JPN (Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara) the other day, took the number and waited for 3 hours. Since it is August in lunar calendar, many couple tend to register on the day (well, only 3 couple and it took 3 hours of our time you see).

The officer lady says “You must also get this document. Either at Indonesia or in Kuching”. So we thought it shouldn’t be that hard. Of course, we called the Kuching consulate to ask about the document we have to bring. First time she (the representative of Kuching Indonesia consulate) asked was “What is your both religion?”. Both of us holds a different religion, so she says it isn’t possible to make the document here.

Then again, we head to FooChow Association, they can’t help, and we went to Wong’s Association, they recommend us a person in Sibu lawyer firm, we went there, he insist we get all the document ready and go to Kuching, they will/should provide us the document. Happily we leave and thinking to get the document.

Correct! No document can be sign unless we get a marriage certificate from Indonesia before hand. Time to fly again! Dammit! All we need was this little document, or a letter. That’s why both brothers (Malaysia and Indonesia) just like to fool their nation instead of helping. Some more, now want to start war? Go ahead and start it idiot!

P/S: Research telling us, different religion can’t be registered in Indonesia as well. Sigh…

More Smoking

Doesn’t matter where I am, I just can’t stop smoking, even though I have the strong mind of quit smoking. Few months ago, I told myself to quit smoking when time is here, and I’m waiting and looking for a good time to quit smoking, I don’t want to get mesothelioma cancer in young age. Now I’m here in Indonesia where cigarrette is way cheaper than Malaysia, costing only Rp9,000 (RM2.70) for a pack of 20′s Marlboro.

Well, I didn’t smoke more than usual though, instead I smoke lesser and lesser day by day. Just when my consumption of cigarette getting less and less, it’s about time to go back to Sibu, where ALL my friends are smokers Damn, felt like wasting my time cutting down my cigarette consumption here. Anyway, I will try my best to smoke lesser than usual for the sake of my lungs, it’s marked my 10th years of smoking now, damn scare, kukujiao also gone now.

Makan Makan In Medan

Few nights ago, my girl friend brought me to a place where there is only food, because the 8 hours black out in the morning ruin the whole day meal So we went to Jalan Semarang for our dinner.

The whole road was build with hawker stalls and some kopitiam, it just like the one at Bukit Bintang there. The food there were budget enough for me though Like this cannot last long I tell you, I’m now in need of some nice nice diet Phentermine pill, hehe… Cannot afford too good food recently, because there is a plan next week Anyway, I do feel that this place look just like Pasar Malam in Sibu…

So miss Sibu now…

Some Beautiful Places

Just got back from Medan, lucky it’s holidays season now, everyone free, mean it’s more mood in holidays. Spent my Christmas and New Year with my girl friend at her place last week.

Didn’t go too many plaza this time, but natural places this time, which is for me, quite amazing place. First we stopped somewhere after a mountain, enlighten me if you know what’s that place name…

I think something name like… Lake Toba? Toba Lake? Whichever sound better Since it is down hill so it’s not as cold as Brastagi or Simalem I remember that name though, alike to Salem That would be the place where I really feel the Mild Seven TVC mood, if you remember back 10 years or so, before the government banned cigarette related TV commercial, Mild Seven always about mountain, green grass, and water!

Whoa, this is the best trip to Medan after the Chinese New Year trip last year.
