This Is Zanthoxylum

I don’t know what other call, but with some translation on the net, it came out this kind of name that I don’t know how to pronounce Anyway, it was a myth actually that Sichuan (??) people can eat spicy food… First thing most people know about Sichuan is their hot and spicy steamboat (??????), but are they really that hot and spicy? I asked a few friends from Sichuan, the fact is, it’s not that hot and spicy, they put a lot of zanthoxylum (??) which is just to paralysis the mouth with a little spice, so they don’t eat too spicy ok?!

I went to their kitchen, I saw the packet and I asked them to gave me some, I’m really curious about how it felt, and does it really paralyzed my mouth… Happily went back home, cook myself some meal, putted in some of those zanthoxylum, and DAMN! Taste so bitten, I threw the rest of them, wasted my plate of vege Well, it taste a little bit like black pepper though, overall it just not that nice for my mouth… Oh, it doesn’t really paralyzed my mouth, I wonder if I didn’t put too much?
