Alright, this is so sick! Never expect it would happen on me, since I’m having a great connection speed like no other. Yes, most people kept complaining Streamyx for the lack of speed as stated, lack of support, lack of uptime and all that, but not me for a year!
What happen actually you asked. Ok this is what happen. I have this package speed on 1.0MB download speed and 385KBPS uploading speed. Yeah, it’s the fastest connection for individual usage. But one fine day, I notice my connection was slow or slower than 56KBPS (Dial up), so instead of sratching my head out of the matter, I called the custormer support team to see what really happen. And after waited for like 15 minutes and called for 3 times, they finally picked it up and say a nice “Hello! Welcome to Streamyx, what may I help you?” Jesus christ, somebody finally pick up the call after 3 attempts of calling and 45 minutes of waiting time! Thanks God!
First off, they asked me to test the bandwidth test on their website, so I did, but since it’s too slow, they asked me to call back later (?!) Alright, I wait and wait, the test is like never ending at 50% for both download and upload speed, so I called up the support team again. They asked me to test one by one, so I tested download, it showed 75.04KBPS (!) and upload is like never finish and stucked at 10%. So they claimed a report for me and asked me wait for another 24 to 48 hours for this problem to fix.
What I shock was the 75.04KBPS download speed, which I suppose to get at least 900-1000KBPS speed, that is lower than 10% of my package dude! And now, I cannot upload a single thing since the upload speed is a mystery, suspected to be 0KBPS.So now I have to wait for another 24 hours to fulfil their 24 to 48 hours. Malaysia Boleh? Yeah right…
