Need to stop hanging

First, it is end of the year, tasks are a little slower. So both of us are focusing really deep into our own projects, even though I did fail my previous one, but never mind, I have plenty of time for that.

Recently, I hang a lot at the new YouTube and the almighty 9gag.

9gag

Yes, I am that idiot to go there, but hey, it’s a way for me to support the creativity of the people around the globe. I learn the word “ordinateurs portables” and “Me Gusta” and all kind of language. Then I get to see how funny an incident was before I knew it. It’s just a good entertainment channel.

YouTube

As of YouTube, I think it has succeed in attracting people to watch more than the previous layout. Back then, it doesn’t support a quick subscribed channel, now it is much easier to change channel. Not only that, once I connected my Facebook and Google Plus, those who shared in the social sites are shown on my YouTube home page. It’s like, why wasting time checking updates from social sites.

What do you want to eat?

I went to the usual restaurant again tonight. Due to some work, today I ate outside twice, both lunch and dinner. To be honest, I don’t like to eat at that restaurant at night, noon time is fine, but not night.

Rice

There is this tauke nio who like to read all the available menu, which I can’t even catch one of it. The worst thing is, I can’t really ask her to go away. When I asked for 5 minutes, she came back within 2 minutes, even if there is no other customers.

The other thing I hate, which all KL citizen like to do most – Speak their own language. I mean mother tongue. Now first thing first, I don’t speak Cantonese. If you like to be a chinese so much with me, then speak Mandarin, isn’t it much more pure chinese than Cantonese? If you can’t express yourself in Mandarin or English, or Malay, be my guest, I understand Cantonese, no problem.

The tauke nio doing the same thing. Doesn’t matter how many times I tried to speak mandarin with her, she just don’t get it. And I blame it on myself for not speaking English with her the first day :lol:

In this days, wearing breeches doesn’t mean you need to talk horse to them. Talk to them in “human understand-able language” , Cantonese, FooChow, Hokkien are dialect, leave it at home and your close one, ok?

Talking

In Malaysia, we need to really respect the multi-racial concept. Either use Bahasa or English. Bahasa is the best though, seeing how it is the national language and I bet any of you speak a word or two don’t we?

Friends’ friend’s friend is a human

Promote to who is a little out-dated nowadays. With social media jumping around the Internet screaming to get attention, many people knows that starting an e-Commerce is so damn easy with social media (Check your Facebook, see if you were tagged with an underwear or not).

God touch

A lot of people suggest using social media platform when they first started, when I asked why, the answer is quite consistent – Because people believe their friend and friends’ friend or even friends’ friend’s friend. In short, it is all about people, human touch. Any human, even an illustrated character with a name tags, most importantly, a human form or something.

Do you have a human touch with who you want to befriend with online? Now go get yourself a name, a photos (try to be a real one), so your new friend knows who are they talking to.

Learn from Apple

What can I learn from Apple iPhone? With recent keynotes about iPhone 4s started the debate of iPhone 5 naming and etc, here are some of the thing I notice.

Unique Selling Point

Multi Touch
Keep only one USP all the way. Don’t change the USP at any point at all! Apple started the multi-touch iPhone, and from there on, a heavy advertisement and education about the multi-touch functionality, because that is what they care. What makes you think the multi-touch even extended to Magic Track Pad?

More features eventhough not really a feature

A lot of features in iPhone 4s are actually not new technology, but still being treated as the new technology by the enthusiast. Why? Simply because Apple showed them who is the boss the first time, and that’s all matter. Judging books by the cover is what we all do best, no?

Add more only when time come

Features
To be honest, Apple iPhone actually quite out-dated in term of the technology they’re using. From there on, Apple can come out with this update and that update for the years to come. Camera with flash in iPhone 4s, when almost all mobile phone manufacturers has came out this features back in early 2000. Erm… Maybe they are concerning about the system (To put how Steve Jobs explain about not supporting Flash in iPhone). So that bring me to the last point…

Packaging! It’s all about eye-candy

Concerning their own technology not manage to have a camera flash? I doubt that, though I believe in Flash, it is a two-way thing. But a camera flash is definitely not. I imagine that, Apple knows their product cannot handle too much when first launch, so package it nicely, and find a USP to cover the weakness and boom (Yes, use the Steve Jobs’ sound)!

Now, that is all what other corporate cannot and don’t want to do. Let me look into Microsoft and let you know what I think.

Stealing credit card information?

I first heard of RFID blocking wallets from my friend who hold 3 credit cards. So I check…

I hold one credit card before, but I terminate it because I hardly use it. Without using it, I would need to pay for the RM50, which is just not worth it in my stand point. The thing is, there is this new thing called “Wave”, wave and the machine get the information… Wait… Maybe this is the idea from those who stealing the credit card identity.

I don’t really get why we need credit card anymore since we have debit card can work exactly the same way…

Technology, can be really complicated and helpful in the same time!
