Poor Millionaire

Who wants to be millionaire?
Recently I just watched this little movie, Slumdog Millionaire. The story was about a very poor Indian winning “Who wants to be a millionaire?” show :) All the questions asked were somehow related to this poor Indian experience, instead of knowledge though. Adding some love and brotherhood story. When this Indian was about to win 20 million, he was arrested for cheating, because it is too impossible for a street boy to know that much. Then only it reveal about how this poor Indian living his life with his brother.

Each questions asked on the show reveal how he know the answer. From how he being an orphan to how he found his love one. Thinking back, does knowledge from school that important? I never had the chance to use it until now. Unless some information for myself, job done! Great school!

Anyway, interesting movie to start my year :)

The latest marketing

Merdeka Walk
Tonight, I went to pakto with my girl friend at some place that crowded with Medanese and some weird stuff. It used to be our favorite pakto place, but it changed suddenly because too crowded. However, today the feel came back so we went there for a small dinner, at first we thought to have a better dinner night at the open air area, due to the environment and weather we choose to eat at McDonald’s because Pizza hut is way expensive than in Malaysia.

Well, let’s talk about what is the latest marketing we should follow up with…
Pad demo
Yes, the pad :) While we were finishing our meal, the girl next table looked at us and came for some introduction about herself and the “business” she wanna talk about. Then her upline came to us also and told us the latest marketing nowadays is the pad! Women pad is the most consumed goods on the planet. If you are selling this (Well, with benefit comparing with other brands of course), which women are gonna reject? And by the way, which women doesn’t need this! Right…

With the price tagging at Rp845,000 (RM280+) for 19 pack, I wonder with so many people having low income this days are gonna spend that much to put on their… :?

Rich man’s wedding

It’s rare for me to attend any wedding dinner, especially when I’m in Sibu. Anyway, it was the golden chance for me to attend a rich man’s wedding tonight at some high-classes-5-stars-ballroom. I don’t know where is it exactly though, it’s Medan, the third largest city in Indonesia, who cares where I am, as long as I’m in a comfy zone :)
Menu
Normally (As I heard) rich man would hired bunch of people to performe on the wedding night. First there was MC, who is very fluent with Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese and Hokkien :)
Stage MC
Then, they will also hired some dancer and singers to sing on stage. By the way, the female singer up there is a bumi :) who can sing a nice Chinese song.
Singer
Nonetheless, due to some powerful people and powerful culture, the stage then showed me some good arses before handing another meal to us.
Arses
The last thing that disgust me is this one…
You guess
You guess it right!

Comparing and kiasuness

Feels like I wanna blog in point form today :)

1, Somehow, in everyone heart, there are a dark side of kiasuness. It’s just how one shows their kiasuness. Kiasu is how people improve themselve, how they manage to get themselves into another level of living, working and everything else. Overly kiasu makes one pathetic though, I mean, this is so depressing. When one overly kiasu means he/she is overly arrogant and can’t let go. Living a tight anal life is tiring, just imagine how they went crazy on sale, and that is how people here living their life…

2, Comparing, when one have kiasuness in their heart, they would start comparing. I remember the phrase where my friend told me couple of years ago, “It’s because my dad isn’t as rich as his dad”. It comes to me that even people start comparing their relative, and don’t let me start about parent comparing their child with their friends. Few days ago, I went to some family dinner, and I heard a conversation about studying and the ranking in the class. If ranking in the class tells you your kids’ future, I am damn sure Bill Gates wasn’t suppose to be that rich now. Anyway, the conversation went to the average mark of all subject too, how kiasu that was after comparing their kids eh? Lucky my mom always tell her friends that I’m a retarded paikia and all the like :)

Done my day with some bad headache! Dammit!

AirAsia ruined my day

I thought AirAsia would bring my family together the other night. First time I bought tickets for my both parent and looking forward to spend some times with my parents at Puchong for a few days and on my graduation. As of my budget, think about a student who work a little, so it’s very very limited.
AirAsia
Due to the usual schedule, AirAsia always like to put their economic seat at night time. Now I got it clear why it’s at night. The flight got delayed for 2 hours for technical problem. My parent fly from Kuching to KL which is faster than me and once they arrived in LCCT, they called me and I was still at Sibu airport. Well, at first AirAsia staff told me that the flight delayed for 45 minutes and I counted, it still fine, as my taxi fee isn’t that high yet.

Well, if technical problem it’s fine for me, because it’s about the whole plane life in the hand of the plane. However, I get to waited for 2 hours for nothing. I’ve already checked in at waiting room, all the airport restaurant has been closed and I need to stay hunger for hours. So, what is the use of AirAsia GoInsure? All the travel insurance they offer seems very useless. I still don’t understand one thing, there is no backup plane at all? Or local consumers are just small cases? My parent, age between 48 to 50 waited me for 2 hours in LCCT just to save my one-time taxi fee. They get to sleep at 3.00am just because the delay and our budget. This, have to really thanks to AirAsia.

Heh… And I thought because MAS monopoly the sky last time so they dare doing things. I guess AirAsia monopoly the budget flight so they dare doing things too. Business always the same don’t they?
