Well, not really. Nowadays, even term life insurance quotes online is available. There are a lot more opportunity as long as the idea works.

While we did thought about selling products online instead of selling services online. Servicing is just taking too much time, don’t they? Selling product on the other hand, is more fixed on the requirement and all.

Currently I am reading a book, a title that catched my eyes while I was in Popular bookstore a week back. It called “What Customers Really Want: Bridging the Gap Between What Your Company Offers and What Your Clients Crave“

Now that is what I am reading and trying to digust whatever is in there.

Though I can’t deny that having an online social networking helps, but this book here, wrote some “others” stuff that we totally forgotten, and that is not even on socialing with customer.

Will go through this book and combined the coaching session from David Wang and come out something

From time to time, I tried to move away from my comfort zone. It was of course good to stay on a place permanently and enjoy the lifestyle I built.

Back while I was in college, I used to move a lot, like 2 times a year average. Not because I have big trouble with the people living in there, but for the sake of changing a taste after a period of time. However, I haven’t got the chance to move to somewhere where I need snow boots, that may and may not come true, considering I am not a single guy anymore.

Things are all putting down and and I am read y to take another bold move. Months back, my friend insisted her sister to start her internship program at my home. I bet she is the most luckiest internship ever. When flood, no working; When we outstation, no working, don’t even need to step into office

My dream of having a paperless (or at least less-paper), is not coming true too. We just bought a new HP printer (What a smart-arse choice eh?), then we printed quite a few round here and there. Hmm… Businesses are killing off the nature very very soon.

There are a few of changes I needed to adopt quickly nowadays. So let it be and move to another challenge

Last weekend, I went to Kuchning to find some dealer on post card printing and signboard to be made. Saturday morning, with all kind of excitement, I went back Sibu by boat, I was surprise to see the river level when the boat entering Sibu coast.

The whole Sibu is like an underwater World now. Roundabout became an island, you wouldn’t know where is the corner, unless you drive around daily to know the routine.

I am, finally stucked at home again. The last time I encounter flood in Sibu was 2007, after that I did not go back that frequent, and now I thought of permanently staying in Sibu, it happen again!

Well, like usual, people started to complaint about government this and government that… I hope the newly elected MP of Sibu can handle those complaints, as it is now become he who did not work but not the previous one Get some education you moron Sibuan, stop dumping and logging to make a living…

Sound to me like SMC (Sibu Municipal Council) is getting more stingy, or overly corrupted nowadays.

A few days ago, they carried a road upgrade work on my resident area without notice, without help.

A lot of residents here are shock paniced with the surprise work SMC brought in, and did not called to extend our bridge. We all here have to spend money building a new one, which SMC just whipping their arse and leave.

But the story doesn’t end there. Today they came again to apply tar onto it, after almost a week! However, due to their overly clever engineer and accountant, that is all they can “afford”

The rest are on our own, again! Means, we resident here is going to need to spend our money for their upgrading work again.

Yes, local election is needed!

Both may be in different field, but they are somehow, mixed together, like all other field.

Time to re-think before reply

The good thing I find being a freelancer at home is, I can rant first then reply. As a contractor, I need to reply in real-time, no hassle. I find myself stuck in the middle of conversation sometimes. Maybe I’m just a slow in replying.

Sitting is better than standing

When the project is over 70%, it became critical. I spent a few days, from morning to evening, watching over the site while I was a contractor. Details are all over the place and I have to find out where. While working from home, with a screen, I’ll just sit there and look around the monitor, at best 20 inches wide.

Inch, foot, mm and pixel

It’s all about the right length and right size. I’ve been greatly dealing with inch, foot and mm again. Sometimes it is inch, sometimes it become foot and sometimes, even mm. Count and keep counting on the site. I still prefer web version of length – Pixel.

Lastly, I notice, I don’t like people, I like machine more. I need dual diagnosis to rehab and have a treatment at the same time. Time to adjust back…

Recently I posted about me joining another field, and since it was coming to an end soon. So I thought to myself, things should coming down slow and easy. Suddenly, today is a total mess! Been quite sometimes stressed up with this field, even weight loss dietary supplement wouldn’t work that good on my diet. Notice a 2KG different already…

Trust is just a word, it mean nothing after all. I should have learnt it before. Look around, those who talk the most, normally are the one who do the less. I normally like to hooked up with family then friends instead of stranger (now you wonder why so many corruption cases?). So, I hooked up with a friend, who is not that well but long lost. Talked as if he has all the idea about my project. I insist on having a progress check but he refused and told me that they are fine with him and nothing going to go wrong.

Things get pretty nasty currently… And we are (luckily and hopefully) going to solve it…

But giving the full authority for a guy to handling a project. Neh…

After a short jogging in the park and had the best protein powders, I think it does make a mind clearer and easier to think. Once I came back home, the first work I started is to re-write / correcting my framework’s CSS.

One CSS file

I find it quite troublesome sometimes when I need to edit some CSS and it happen to be on another file. The solution, to compress all I can on space and tab, minimal the need of ID or CLASS if possible.

Unique ID and CLASS

Previously I thought to have a hierarchy by doing like this:

#content {}
#content .post {}
#content .post .post-title {}

When the list going long, it’s getting more complicate to even look at it. I re-write most CLASS so they are unique in the style sheet.

Get rid of !important rewrite

I use Erik Meyer CSS reset. Somehow, it reset the background to white, while I’m working with 2 CSS files, I would just use the rewrite rule instead of open the reset style sheet and edit it Too lazy I guess, and that’s why one CSS is enough.

I’m still looking into the style sheet to see if there is anything I can do. Working too much with CSS, so it has to be so damn easy for me to edit next!

Recently addicted to Design*Sponge office design with my wife.

Those are serious furniture compare to what I have currently like a preschool furniture.

We always believe that clean environment can boost our productivity. Once I know a designer, who told “I’m designer, my workstation suppose to be mess, and this mess helps my creativity, don’t you?“. I’m not so sure it’s an attitude or profession need for the messy room.

Clean environment
A clean environment is easier to find anything on the table. Everything are visible on eyes.

Keep files clean
Desktop icons is where people often forgotten to clean up. Do you ever go click here and there just to find the file you just saved?

A white board / calendar
I can’t find a desktop calendar in this town. So I got a small white board from Popular and hang just beside my desk, so I can refer to it from time to time

Some other small thing like notification, time table is also an essential thing to do. However, the last thing I want is a better workstation that’s all… There is no IKEA here!!!

Today is Thursday already, I did not feel the excitement for weekend, but I felt more lazy.

I notice that from time to time, I would feel so lazy to work or even to sit. I would want to spend the rest of my day on my bed! That is what I feel right now. Some may suggest me to do so, since I work at home. What a lot of people don’t understand is that, there are deadlines on my tasks too Look at the auntie who keep on pursuit me to go for some insurance classes.

Since last week, I’ve been juggling between some jobs on hand. I like it when I am so damn busy that at least, make me less wasting time in Facebook or Twitter. While having job is good, but it is not so for my situation.

I always tried to spend time to build my family nicely. Sometimes, even when I was outside paktor with my wife, I even tell her about how I’m going to solve the problem later back home. Totally killed the mood you see.

Today woke up by a call from the contractor. Rushed up and went out, on the way coming back, I’m in the weak and lazy mode again. Maybe the weather cause it; maybe the screen radio-whatever cause it; maybe I just need some vitamins…

Last year, when I was still living with the landlord in Puchong, I found some creatine pills and protein tin at the kitchen. He is a football player, not sure about the position he holding. Looking at his figure, either those are some pirated product or he did not really consume it.

Muscle, a thing many men looking for, me too. But most are lazy to get one for themselves, me too.

I think muscle is just some hobby thing, not a healthy thing yet in Asia. Look at the movies, see what Hollywood offer and what Hong Kong offer. In Hollywood, throw any stone and you may hit an actor with a better body than in Asia…

My point is, at least exercise. It helps. Even our health ministry is promoting healthy lifestyle with more exercise, more fruit, more vegetable and etc. Those are the thing people always forgotten in daily basic. Those are the one that cause fat building around the body. Ever encounter people say “Char bee hun don’t want vegetable“?

With the so-called technology and medical advancement today, a lot of people tend to think diet-pills works perfect or so. At least both my sister think that way, and never did I see them exercise a bit their muscle. Any exercise will help, even a jogging.

Nowadays, without any exercise, the weather can cause a great sweat just by sitting in front of my computer. Speaking of exercise, I am out of it for a month now time to get back up again, tomorrow! Yes, tomorrow… Tomorrow…
