I don’t usually buy stuffs or services for fun, but when I buy an item or service, it is something that will interest me and/or needed to be done.

When you get older, your needs are adding on. I don’t know if I am a greedy bastard or life works this way, you have more needs (or want) than last year.

The problem in Malaysia is they all focus on economy as well as money and forgot about working ethic or business ethic. After a short discussion with my wife, both of us are getting more and more disappointed with what Malaysian can offer. Ironically that including myself, as a business owner.

The differences between what I did and what other did is that I take full responsible and I make it quick and easy. If you are not happy with what I offer, I am gladly refund or if you need some fix and thing I did those, I will investigate (within a day or two only) and make a necessary arrangement.

While other services normally just trying to push here and there and taking more time to cool you down or something (?), I just don’t understand why it took them so long. Some if not most, will just walk away from their responsible without any reply. The main point is responsibility, which I find more services here does not have. Comparing apple to apple – Local hosting with oversea hosting provider.

The last thing I wanted to do in my life now is, to make sure I just accommodate what is “needed” and remove all “wanted”. Simplest thing is always the best thing in life.

It’s a shame to start, I hooked up with cigarette at the age of 14, and I am a full-time nicotine addict by the age of 15 until recently – 29. So in calculation, this will be the 14th year of my smoking life at the age of 29.

I have been trying to quit smoking on the 10th year of my smoking life, I tried literally EVERY possible way of quit smoking, from NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy), cold turkey and e-cigarette. Everything failed, and of course that included my own will power. On the 10th year onward, I am actually on “give up” and “give in” situation, promising myself to not smoke a cigarette tomorrow morning and didn’t do it.

I actually spend some fortune on those quit smoking aid. I admit, I rather fool myself than completely remove the little hope that I could quit smoking after the aid. So I go on with e-cigarette, smoking pipe (and I enjoy this one the most one the last few months ) and NRT inhaler (very expensive shit).

Until I stumble this book by some guy named Allen Carr – Easyway to stop smoking.

It was 12.00am when I downloaded the PDF. I plugged in my personal vapourizer, and start reading. At 5.30am I just finished 80 pages (how slow I read), and there is around 40 pages to go, and I went to sleep. Upon woke up at 9.30am, I did not smoke at all and don’t have the desire to smoke too, and I haven’t even finish the book yet. That is how powerful the mind can do the trick on a smoker.

Upon finishing the book (and I was required to smoke when reading the book), I just stop smoking all together. I asked my wife to pack all my smoking related stuff (they range from lighters to pipes to e-cigarettes) into the dustbin.

For 5 years, I’ve been trying to make myself quit smoking by “sacrificing” the cigarette, just to know that I actually “don’t need” the cigarette. The best thing is, I don’t have all those withdrawal symptoms at all! There is no running nose, no mood swing, no shit like those, I just stop smoking and I didn’t even need to adjust my lifestyle at all. I still do what I do all the time just didn’t involve cigarette (using “minus the cigarette” or “without the cigarette” sound like I’m missing something it suppose to be there – Sacrificing).

If you are seriously thinking about quit smoking (if you have any other excuse like your social needs and shit, that means you are not even thinking about quit smoking), get the book and read it. If you truly understand the book, you will stop smoking after you finish the book.

When I was in Sibu, there is no talk about race. Mainly because one ethnic took around 80% of the township and only in the early 2000 that I started to see other ethnics more prominent in town.

So you can imagine the lifestyle in Sibu, and of course how people think, even the people on my age. When people on my age react to race, I get disgusted, mainly because we are one of the most educated generation, so to speak. If someone (especially the politician) tells you Sarawak is very harmony, think again!

I remember one time on a plane to LCCT. There was lots of Dayak in the plane, I sat down according to my number, a young boy stop right in front of me, murmuring to his friend “So many XXX ethnic there”. I am both shocked and angry, seriously, what is wrong sitting with them? And for 2 hours if that even an issue.

Then I bought a house, my friends came to visit me (mainly from Sibu), each of them has one exact same question “I see that your neighbour are all XXX ethnic”. For one, I have known them for years (posted at least a diploma if that help trigger your anger), but I did not expect that question at all. Secondly, they have been in KL for at least 8 – 10 years, either KL changed their mindset, or they just hide it so well back then.

If you ask me, can Malaysia get rid of racism, no, at least in my lifetime

I got a phone call from my mom the other way, complaining that my younger sister is taking a photography course in some local college. Well, that’s cool, I never knew there was a course all about photography.

Anyhow, she continued to tell me how the course is not good and how it will make it hard to look for a job and etc. At the same time, she took a few example person who choose the right course and get a job right away after graduated. Typical, but she has her very own reason.

I remember when I quit architecture and go into design, both my parents are very annoyed with the course I’m taking too. Well, I still want to choose something I am good at and polish it to the best possible, that’s the thinking back then. It works. Although I ended up doing web development than web design, but I’m glad I took the design course instead of architecture.

One think I’m more grateful is how college sharpen my critical thinking than what skill I posted after graduated. College life is good, it is what people said “Honeymoon period”, you attend, you finish your own, you graduated. But the processes and experiences that count, not the paper that tells you how professional you are, after all, your paper telling you what you did best in the past, not in the future. Critical thinking live with you in the future.

This is a great lesson, and do not underestimate a problem, be it a small one or big one.

People like to keep silent (or ignorant) for something just so everybody will have some freedom. You can find that out especially on roommate-relationship.

I remember when I was in college, all my roommate ignored the dumpster, because if one doesn’t say it out loud, everybody gets to do whatever they want and not doing something they don’t want – Empty the trash.

Well, the longer it is ignored, the smellier it get, that is the fact. I learnt it again last year, and the problem… Continued this year. There are level of importance and urgency of problem, either one, the faster it gets solved, the better my day will be.

Ever since I know how to use a tool, I manage to ruin a few electronic at home (radio for instance), then I get to know the coolest thing called computer, I ruined it not once, not twice, but thrice

Back when I lived on an apartment, to take my time and share my work at home, I work around a small curtain. Not really a good quality work, but it work as it should. It is the goal that count!

Then, we started thinking, maybe we can do something else than just the piece of curtain.

That’s when WellHued was born. Not exactly a full hand-made craft, but we had lots of fun working our way up with it. I was suppose to launch it back at the end of last year, but the craft is not on the quality I wanted, so I took it down and revamp all the products again

That’s just how crazy I am with my work and my passion toward hand-made craft. I am on the way to business cards printing at printingamerica.com and start off with A Little Market on this March all weekend.

Excited to know that I finally can get out of the house for business

The first thing I complained about the driving here is that, no body using the signal buttons. It was a hard drive back when I first started driving car here, until recently, I think I got a glimpse of why it is so.

They are predictable.

I’m sure you (if you are driving) too notice that sometimes, you know when to give way, if you don’t want to give way, you know when to speed up to not left behind.

That’s the culture here I guess. At least in Sibu, we all (they actually, not including me) drive slowly, so anytime too we can stop without a problem, and yet, no body dare to give middle finger

It is like, when something happen, then it is time to use the signal. The signal lights can only meant: car broken down; you better come down here mo… or simply just being nice.
