It is not 1 Malaysia after all

This morning my wife and I went to the immigration office to extent her visiting visa, while waiting for the application to be approved. As we asked, the visa was approved so no need to extent and it is 6 months long only :? Costing a few hundred.

But never mind about our problem. We encounter another great couple who having a great problem about 1 Malaysia. Ok, I should clarify first, I did not over heard their conversation, and did not intent to. They were sitting in front of us, less than a meter, talk like it was their room :P

What I do understand is, the guy from Sibu, the girl from Selangor. She wishes to stay in Sibu longer than 90 days, which is given by the immigration in the airport. Yes, Peninsula citizen who wish to come to Sarawak or Sabah has only 90 days, top.

Guess what? We are waiting in an office that is for… Non-Malaysian.

That is my question. How can a Malaysian from Peninsula wanted to extent their stay have to go through Non-Malaysian office? Furthermore, to apply visa? Why isn’t it just a chop-and-go deal?

For my friend who got married with a Puchong girl, you made the right move to not come back. Remember, when you are coming for permanent, your wife is going to be a non-Malaysian here, just like me.

For my friend who thinking about marrying a Seremban girl, good luck on your future plan.

Now, if you keep telling me about 1 Malaysia again, I will seriously vomit blood. Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, please I beg you, explain something to me or to the Selangor girl I met this morning.
