Malaysia first ever WordCamp

WordCamp Malaysia 2010
First I heard about it at Jakarta last year or so, I wonder when will it come to Malaysia and it did :) WordCamp finally coming to Malaysia, thanks to those who push to make it happen from WordPress Design Studio.

However, we had a plan already…

Bali

Bali trip next week until mid of May. My wife already storing all the events and trips on her promotional calenders, not only Bali, but also Malaysia.

We did however looked into the date and tried to adjust our time to attend WordCamp, but…

AirAsia fee

Air Asia offered me a good RM1,116 for both of us to come back home… Totally sucking my blood!

MAS fee

MAS however, know that I am in need a little bit with a RM724.

Now, you tell me, should I attend or not?

P/S: Is the rebate Tony mentioned years ago still works on today trend??? Who said AirAsia is budget?

Of Google Chrome application

Google Chrome application

I find it quite interesting how Google can build an application with just a click. I used TwitterGadget as my dekstop Twitter client.

Well, I would say this is to prepare their next product line, Google Chrome OS.

They have the idea of depending on Internet, as more and more people are getting the fast line with Internet, software become so less, even DVDs. Most friends I know started to watch movie using the China made, oh-so-great PPStream, streaming movie through Internet.

I would definitely love to give it a try if not my web design job on hand :P It is so narrowed targeted to people like me, just like how like diet pills for women only.

Now my problem is here. I have not yet found a great thing to work on it… I have the “Application” ready but not the “Next move” and “Target” yet…

Hubing Park

The other day, we wanted to go to the latest and biggest temple in Malaysia for our shooting session, but we don’t know the way. Yes, as a Sibuan for more than 20 years I don’t know where the temple located, it is still new by the way. So we changed our venue to Hu Bing Park.

The park, has… Nothing at all. I thought Sibu built lots of park that become so famous for the tourism, do you know that it is still Visit Sibu 2010? :lol: Not sure if it convince you enough to come here…

After a few shoot… I find the default lenses is not enough! I want more lenses :P

PC Fair is coming to town by the way, going to check out any discount prescription glasses or perhaps, get myself a new lenses for the new toy :)

Shooting lesson is time taking

Just when I got the camera, first thing I have in my mind was to explore more about the camera. We off to Ku Tien Memorial Park.

We did not manage to try portrait because I don’t like to be taken and she is complaining about her eye bag. Of course, as a camwhore herself, she is now looking for the best under eye cream for dark circles :P

First we tried to take some landscape photos, but it don’t seems to looks too good, as I am still not familiar with all those ISO, Aperture and Shutter, maybe I know Shutter more than the other two.

Oh, I will never forgot to have fun while learning…

Continuous shooting is so fun… We came home and edited a few of the set we shoot… Ended up the day we play with the stop motion more than learning how-to :P

Got this new shinning toy this morning, nearly abandon my wife alone at home.

Study

Went to a park and tested it out together. I never used a DSLR before. While study in college, I did use some SLR and shooting some still live items, then study how to produce a black and white photos.

All the memories about aperture, ISO and shutter speed are coming back now, but I still cannot remember much about those function, need to re-study again. Lesson learn, pay attention to every little thing in class, they are the one that last. Well, unlike weatherization training, shooting doesn’t need much theoretical basic, just keep shooting and shooting, should get into the right way soon.

Going outdoor with this toy is not as easy as I thought it would. Of course I could have set auto and shoot as I like, but I’m more interested in manual system :) A lot more to learn now. Looking into Google right away.
