The tale was true

I remember, long ago, someone told me, “If you earn RM500, you live a life for RM500; if you earn RM5000, you live a life of RM5000. You will upgrade according to your income.” True enough!

Recently on April, I get myself a LCD and a thousand-ringgit-hand-phone. On May, I get my car tinted (it’s really hot nowadays). On coming June, there will be another spending. These spending are not small amount. For me, thing that cost more than RM200 consider a medium amount, not to mention RM1000.

When someone earn a limited sum, they’ll give a try on exercising like jogging, cost-free; however, when one has a financial support, either gym or some good ephedra pills will be chosen. It’s just the way of life eh? I remember when I was still a student. I work my ass off selling websites and domains, I still choose to save. I choose to save in almost every aspect in my daily routine. Unless things I’m so desperate with :P Today, I started to have some income, and it gets out of the student-routine. It is merely hald year after I graduate, I already getting comfortable with my spending and income. I reckon this is a bad habit.

  1. I don’t think this is a bad habit. Bad habit is when you earn RM1 and you spend RM2. Isn’t that a worse case? Believe me, some people do that

  2. Jerine,

Aren’t we suppose to compare ourselves with someone who is better than us? Yes, we need to be graceful with what we have now, compare to those who are struggling finding a small lil bread to eat.

There is a quote I’m living now,
“If you don’t have enough to spend, find more.”

  3. Put aside the mobile phone and lcd, not like you’re going to purchase it every month.

Besides, if the spending will enhance your life, I don’t see it as a bad thing but an investment. Wider lcd, not only ease your eyes but also improve your productivity, no? At least I feel so. In the end, it also contribute in earning more.

Unless you just wanna show off with 20″ lcd and E71, then that’s another story la.

It becomes a bad habit when you start borrow money from others.

  4. i believe gradually as we start working we will be trap by this inevitable rat race… the more we work for money, the more we spend, at the end of the day we become slave of monetary means.
