Visit Sibu 2009

I bet nobody knows about it if you’re not from Sibu. This tourism in Sibu really suck when it comes to marketing their town. I don’t even know it until a friend of mine tells me about it then only I start thinking about where to go if I were to travel to Sibu…

Eat

Eat
Famous food will be Kampua, Kompia, Ting Bian Hu and Char Hung Gan. With the super duper competitive price there, I’m sure one will get a few kilo in weight with a 3 days 2 nights tour.

Pork

I’m glad that Sibu citizen aren’t that sensitive with pork. Everywhere you can see people selling pork. Even super store also allow pork to be sold with others halal goods, not like those super store here, where they separate halal and non-halal goods.

Garden

Million ringgit garden
I think Sibu has the most garden/park around the town. I’m not talking about the small park with a children playground. I’m talking about million ringgit garden maintain by certain organisation. Wong Nai Siong garden, Gu Tian Park and etc.

Law

In Sibu, everybody is a law maker :) That’s a good thing, but not a harmony thing though. I can’t reckon anything that happen in Sibu is illegal though. Believe it or not, when police blocking a certain road, 100 meters away there will be an illegal racing. Try Jalan Pedada ;)

House

Go ahead, impress yourself with the size of the house there. A bungalow built with underground parking? You get it here. A bungalow with a helicopter landing space, you get it here. Shit you not, I bet Taiwanese will be regret for not coming here to film their rich-guy-poor-girl-drama here.

Toilet

Most toilet here built with huge budget, new concept and innovative. The Toilet King is from Sibu, so you can expect the best toilet in Malaysia here as well :)

And on and on… Speaking of Sibu. It’s been 4 months I didn’t go back. Hmmm… Let’s see when I can have a cheap flight.

P/S: Do you know that only Sibu’s McDonald’s has chinese name on it?

Of bank and electric

Went to bank the other day, wanted to get my car tinted due to the weather. I cannot spoil the environment with air conditional, instead, I can help myself a bit with my item. RM150 for a 50% black color sticking my whole car is no where to find. Without second thought, I went on and ask the boss do it. At the same time, I go and look for a bank to withdraw some cash.

Just when I slot in my ATM card, the whole are out of electric. My card stuck inside!!! Waiting for a few minutes, thinking that TNB should have some backup power right? Such a thing could happen anytime, a backup is needed. But no backup power at all. What the fuck? Are we not paying enough taxes for them or what? I never know the industrial equipment is so lousy for them.

Now that my card is stuck in there. I’ll leave it first, it is my saving account anyway :P Did not manage to tint my car as well, due to the fuck up electric. Time wasted, card stuck. What a day eh? Well, lucky I have some cash with me to get myself some industrial equipment supply for tonight…

Malaysia Politic

I did not step into politic in early age. As well as most Sarawakian, that’s why ruling government can always hit a big victory in Sarawak, and some say Sabah. Mainly because over there, everythning is limited, and I have to admit that Sibu is a rural area. Not many of us online in early age. I started to follow the politic news few years back and addicted to it after March last year, that was the first time I saw opposition make into front page of every newspaper. Side note, MCA also started to appear in newspaper almost everyday (That’s when I know there is actually a community/organization/party that helps Malaysian Chinese).

Recently I saw a very unstable politic in Malaysia. As far as I concern, as long as all those scenes continue, Malaysia is not gonna move to anywhere yet, don’t even mention about Wawasan 2020. What sadden me more was the power grabbing, faults pointing, court cases. None of those are to help boost Malaysia. For me, those are just children fighting among themselves to get to number one place in class/gang and etc. I can’t say what I am lack of since I did not lack of anything yet, I’m still waorking like cow, live a life I lived for the past few years, but these situation certainly effect some people in Malaysia.

Decade ago, people started to built icon among themselves, because to be a hero is not that easy. Icon is the easiest way to get notice. Opposition leader [insert your preferable name], he is not a hero, he is an icon, an icon to democracy or some say [insert your preferable incident], whichever you prefer. Icon is how it works in this century. You cannot brand a hero, but you can easily brand an icon to be seen as hero :)

Truth that Malaysia is so corrupt, till a standard you cannot imagine. Everything can be corrupted. From policemen to getting a C4, you name it. But will Malaysia become less corrupted country? In a billion years perhaps. It’s the ethic that already built inside everybody, it is the moral value that built inside a person. Forget about what you been taught in moral studies, this is very subjective thinking. For as long as the stereotype ethic value built in a politician, Malaysia will still the same for years to come.

24 hours is not enough

Have you ever come across this thinking, that 24 hours is just not enough for your daily activity? Especially when you’re tied on the job? Well, I just got the feeling recently. Though I am a simple guy who seldom go shopping or eat outside. Still, I wanna do a lot more activities than what I have now.
Watch
Perhaps, I’m just looking for an excuse to get away from something; perhaps, I might be too picky or perhaps, I sleep too much. Whatever reason it is, the point is where am I standing right now, and why would I have this kinda thought? Weird, but self searching isn’t easy.

Some said that I work on Saturday that affect my time. But I have to disagree. Sometimes it is better to spend time wisely than to just sleep the arse off on the weekend. I prefer to be able to wake up early (be it by force or willingly), it sound healthy to me and I just wanna believe it is healthy. So what’s wrong with working on Saturday anyway? (sound like ignoring :P )

Well, I’m better off not thinking about negative. My girlfriend always tell me about “the law of attraction”, the more I think about the negative point, the more my mood get into it, and the more incident happen.

Talk cock at night

Since I started to work, I never stay outside drinking at midnight anymore. I’m kinda miss those old days where few of our friends went outside and sit on a kopitiam and chat for the whole night, 5 hours at least. Last night, I took the chance and tested another time :P Well, you know, when there’s nobody gonna show you a dark face, you’ll eventually have a better freedom :lol:
Night out
I was looking for somebody to have a cup of tea, and probably a meal, since I don’t wanna cook at the moment. I smsed my friend to see who is free, and it ended up the one that stay further away are free :? But anyway, I still go there just to see if I can 1, find my way out from there (Ended up I lost), 2, just to show that I am still commited to this friendship.

There was a friend tells me “At night I”m more inspired, so there go better writting and talking topic”. Maybe it’s true, the windy night with some lighting here and there, plus a football match on the big projector screen does help.
