Chinaman: Eh, Malaysian female love to have last name like “Ling” or “Hui”.
Friend: Hmm… Since you mentioned it, you’re right. A lot of my friends has “Ling” as their last name.
Chinaman: In China, those are old name, only aunties like 30’s to 50’s has those kinda last name you know?
Friend: Really? Maybe Chinese here not that update yet with names.
Chinaman: Let’s just say Malaysian chinese is more traditional.
Friend: Maybe…
Kan! We all so outdate is it? Well, this make me think about plat and phone number. My friends used to have phone and plat number like “5200″. This name thingy probably one of the good business opportunity as well. As for foochow, “52″ not only means “I love” but also mean as “My”, so those who have “5278″, go figure what is that.
