Wireless Or Not

Recently I came back home with my laptop, at home, there were a shared PC desktop and my brother laptop and mine, which is the most packed computering season at home. With only one modem, and a broken router, we’ll have to share the connection with 3 computers which is an headache 
Being an internet freak, I’m 24/7 on the line, my brother as a downloader also a 24/7 on the line and my sister, mp3 lover 
Since I just got my Sony Ericsson P990i with WLAN enabled phone, I wished to try the function, being discussing with my brother about getting a wireless router and we can cut down the use of the high cost Cat6 eternet cable as well, and ease ourselves on using laptop at our own room with 100% privacy 
But I don’t know which brand/model to go. As you know in Sibu this place, there isn’t any better computer hardware store, all store are storing their stuff in their store room Ask? There is always one or two option to go only, like this Sibu how to maju????

Sarawak is a wifi state right? We have lotsa computer here in PJ and yet the wifi is not available everywhere.
